The Weather Channel Facebook Messenger Bot was launched in 2016 and is an important tool for Weather Channel users to interact with the brand, especially during severe weather.

During Hurricane Irma, users were able to interact with the bot and were asked to share their first-hand Irma experiences via photos and videos. With 24 hour monitoring, our small team was able to improve the conversation experience in real-time to help users understand impacts of the storm, storm movement, and answer basic storm education questions.
